The RE:DO Plant-Based Salted Caramel Protein Bars are a really enjoyable option if you’re looking for a clean, plant-based snack that doesn’t sacrifice taste. With 15g of vegan protein per bar, they provide a solid boost whether you need something post-workout, between meals, or just a quick grab-and-go option during a busy day.The salted caramel flavor is definitely the highlight. It has a nice balance of sweetness with a slight hint of salt that keeps it from being overly sugary. Unlike a lot of plant-based bars that can taste chalky or artificial, these have a much smoother and more natural flavor that actually feels like a treat.Texture-wise, they’re soft and easy to chew without being overly sticky or dry. That’s something I really appreciate because many protein bars can feel dense or hard to get through. These strike a good balance, making them satisfying without being heavy. From a nutritional standpoint, they check a lot of boxes. Being dairy-free and plant-based makes them a great option for those with dietary restrictions or anyone trying to eat cleaner. The ingredients feel thoughtfully selected, and you can tell it’s designed to be a healthier alternative to typical snack bars. They’re also very convenient. Individually wrapped bars make it easy to toss one in a gym bag, car, or desk drawer so you always have something on hand when hunger hits. It’s a great way to avoid reaching for less healthy snacks.Overall, these bars do a great job combining nutrition, taste, and convenience. If you’re looking for a plant-based protein bar that actually tastes good and supports your daily protein intake, these are definitely worth adding to your routine.
I was surprised at the taste of this. I have tried many plant-based protein bars and powders and they all have that distinct beansy taste. This doesn't have that. It has a nice flavor as well. I got this in the Salted Caramel version and the flavor is enjoyable to eat, with a mostly dense (very slightly chewy) texture. These didn't break apart. They have a nice chocolate shell, and a dense center. I like that this is also made with ingredients that I can recognize. That said, I am not a super fan of the 250 calories per bar, especially considering that this has about 15 grams of protein, and so if you're on a calorie restrictive regime, then this gets complicated real fast. However, the calorie count might make this perfect for those trying to bulk up. Also, at the current cost for nine bars, honestly, this wouldn't be my first choice. All in all, this is a great bar. I usually have one for breakfast, and with my coffee. I find it very filling.
These are a really great alternative to the additive-laden options at the grocery store. They're delicious, with a firm but flexible texture that you really want from a protein bar, so they feel substantial. They're infinitely portable, fitting nicely into purses, gym bags, and school backpacks and holding up well. They're also high in protein, low in carbs, and don't have any weird ingredients for those with sensitive tummies. The salted caramel has a nice flavor, and it's sweet enough to feel like a treat in the middle of the afternoon, yet not too cloying for breakfast.
These bars are definitely going to get eaten; While they're not going to stand up to a candy bar in terms of sheer sugary enjoyment, for a plant-based protein snack they're one of the better options I've had. They don't have that dry, cakey, grainy texture a lot of these types of bars have, which always make them a challenge for me to get down without a jug of water. The ingredient list is decently clean as well.My only complaint is that the flavor seems a little inaccurate; I don't taste much along the lines of salted caramel, instead having a faux-chocolate flavor. It's not bad! It's just not what it says on the wrapper.
