FAQs
Is one RE:DO Bar enough for a middle-meal?
Yes our protein bars were created as a great alternative to a middle-meal. No need to calculate intake.
How many calories does 1 Chocolate Ball bar contain?
One bar contains only 256 calories.
When is the best time to eat the RE:DO Chocolate Ball Bar.
The best time to fit the bar in your schedule would be between meals and before/after workout.
Due to nature of my work I have sampled many protein supplements and snacks over the years.I also lift heavy weights at the gym several times per week and sometimes eat protein bars and/or shakes to meet my protein needs, though admittedly don't typically enjoy them. These bars are higher quality in taste and texture than your average bar. I tried Swedish Chocolate Ball variety. They have a softer texture and are not excessively chewy as protein bars can often be. For a packaged product they tasted fresher than average. These bars are filling and contain 12 g of protein which is a little lower in protein than most bars that I have tried. At the same time, I like to have a snack that contains protein and fiber and they do contain 6g of fiber which is nice. They also contain 6g of saturated fats which is a little than I'd like for myself. On balance they are still among the options that I would choose. At $31.99 for a 9 pack they are on the pricey side so I would not eat them on a daily basis, but from time to time they will make a good snack.
I really wanted to love this bar, but the product I received was past its Best Buy date by almost a month. In fact, the Best Buy date was only one day after I placed my order! The taste of the Swedish Chocolate Balls was promising, and reminded me of the coconut covered balls they’re inspired by…. but the texture was so chalky and the chocolate had bloomed (turned white due to temp changes). Having finished the whole bar, I honestly feel a bit queasy. It definitely has that protein powder taste, but again I don’t know if it’s stronger than it would be had I received a fresher product. I’m very disappointed. Considering the expense, I expected better quality.
I ordered a case of Re:Do Plant-Based Swedish Chocolate Ball Protein Bars because I liked that they each have 12g protein and 6g of dietary fiber, and I was curious to find out if they tasted better than the Fiber One + Protein bars I've been buying by the box at my local grocery store which have similar quantities of protein and fiber in them. I love real chocolate-flavored things. Basically, if it says chocolate, I'm on board. So that's why I chose the Swedish Chocolate Ball flavor. I learned from AI that the Swedish chocolate ball, known in Sweden as chokladboll (or occasionally kokosboll), is a popular, no-bake confectionery and a staple of the Swedish fika (coffee break) tradition. They are easy to make and often one of the first things a Swedish child learns to bake. They contain oats and the rolled oats are supposed to give the chokladbollar a distinct, chewy texture that is firmer than a traditional chocolate truffle. However, based on my experience, these bars are not particularly chewy, at least not as chewy as many protein bars typically are. What I find is that the chocolate coating is quite lovely, but the inside is less chewy and instead, the texture reminds me of a dry brownie. The chocolate coating is the most chewy part of the bar. That said, the taste is good and chocolatey. I'm just not sold on the texture nor am I sold on the cost, which seems to be about double what I am used to spending for nine protein bars where each bar only contains 12g of protein. The final factor that lead to this product earning just three stars is the matter of the bars coming in a package that has a label that states these bars were already beyond their 'best by' date prior to me even ordering them! It may be that tariffs held up the container or something, but yeah, you should probably expect yours to be similarly dated if you ordered them in late 2025.
Finding vegan protein bars that taste good and make you feel good is not the easiest. RE:DO have gotten it right! My kids and I love these bars. Not chalky, just right in flavor, and no sugar dip afterwards! We are trying the other flavors now, after starting with the Swedish Chocolate Ball :) Highly recommended!
I recently tried the RE:DO Plant-based protein bars, and I have to say, I really enjoyed tasting all the different flavors. One standout for me was the Swedish chocolate ball flavor – it was absolutely delicious! The light coconut taste really hit the spot. Not only are these bars tasty, but they’re also incredibly filling and healthy. They’re perfect for a quick snack or post-workout boost. I love knowing that I’m fueling my body with something nutritious while satisfying my sweet cravings. Highly recommend these bars to anyone looking for a tasty and healthy protein snack!
